Is Your Career Feeling ‘Blah’?

Stressed Woman

Do you ever get that nagging feeling whispering, “Is this really it?” Is this what you want to do for the rest of your life? If your days are filled with stress, overwhelm, and the sense that you’re not living up to your potential… your job might just be ‘blah’.

The Mediocrity Trap

It’s easy to fall into. Bills need to be paid, deadlines met… who has time to figure out what they really want?

  • It’s too hard to change.
  • We can’t afford it.
  • What will people think?
  • I would be throwing it all away.

Sound familiar? But here’s the thing: You have ONE life. You deserve to be happy doing something you love.

We tell ourselves change is impossible. We stop dreaming. Remember that 20-year-old you, excited about the future? Where did that go?

It’s time to start asking yourself:

  • What do I really want from my career?
  • What does success look like for me?
  • If anything were possible, what would I do?

If you don’t look for these answers, nothing will change. Your career will stay ‘blah’, and in ten years, you might still feel stuck and unfulfilled.

But What If…

What if I told you that you can make a change and love your work again, without sacrificing your finances or time?

I did it. My clients have done it. I built a business while working full-time, then made the leap. I’ve recently helped a client map out her career change in just TWO sessions, without impacting her family’s finances or schedule.

It’s possible. Ask yourself, “What if I could create a job I love?” Let your brain explore the answer.

The High Cost of Mediocrity

Settling has a steep price:

  • Chronic stress and burnout
  • Missed opportunities
  • Regret

Your Homework

Imagine yourself 10 years from now, at age [your age + 10], having achieved career success. Write a letter from your future self to your present self. What advice does your future self give you to find your path?

Don’t be afraid to ask for help. A career coach or mentor can be invaluable.

Your Career Should Be a Source of Joy

Remember, your career should be more than just a wage. It should excite and fulfil you.

Are you ready to break free from the mediocrity trap? Want some guidance? I’ve helped many figure out what they want and go after it.

Don’t Settle. Be Intentional.
